Any place to go watch fireworks in San Antonio? I'm off work on the 4th, and I want to watch some fireworks since I have nothing else better to do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just head to some of the trashier neighborhoods and I'm sure you'll find some "fireworks".

Y'all must not be in a drought over that way. Its been dry as a popcorn fart here - we got our first "rain" today since early May. Lasted maybe 5 minutes. All it did was make it humid as hell, barely wet the ground.

We have an event planned for our subdivision on Saturday, but due to lack of rain, fireworks were canceled.
We bought about $800 dollars worth, and can't use them.
Fortunately, I think someone will buy them from us.
The rest is still going on.

Same out here, although we're getting together on Sunday. Johnson County banned fireworks yet all them roadside stands were open and popping.

ETA, sorry y'all didn't notice this was in the S.A. section. Nevertheless, enjoy your celebrations wherever they may be.

Well, it was going to be the second year for us to do it, but it doesn't look like we'll be hosting it again.

I was going to say the same. I used to live at Mira vista of La Cantera and would watch every night in summer from the balcony.

I'm traveling right now, but my neighbor texted me to say we got "almost three inches of rain" on Friday.
That brings the total to 15" over the last 9.5 months.

Helotes has a fireworks show at the festival grounds (opens from 4pm to 1130pm), and fireworks starts around 9:15. Pm. It's free to get in or we park next to Marcos Pizza and put our chairs in the field next to their parking lot so we can have pizza too. Since we bought a few pizzas they let us use the restroom during the event. There is a Walmart across the street from Marcos if you need something more than pizza.

You could always organize your own block party to celebrate the 4th!
