We were referring to the trigger pulls being noticeably different. Carrying three screws in the woods wasn't a problem with 5 rounds to me. I carried both and didn't care which one. My favorite woods gun in the 80-90s was a new model 32hr with 4 3/4" barrel.

I have several unmolested 3 screw Single Six pistols. I load all 6 chambers and have never had a problem with accidental discharge.
Had a Ruger Maverick, won't be buying another either, that the transfer bar kept getting out of place and keeping it from being cocked and fired. It's a real piece of shit.

I never noticed anything different at all.
Had to send my Single Six in to fix timing...very poor accuracy. I was worried about the trigger quality after the mandatory upgrade.
It came back excellent! Trigger is actually better, and accuracy is outstanding.
I have a Wrangler that is just as good.

The only reason in the 70s that I got away from Ruger single actions for my was my affair with contenders. I became addicted and spent all my money on them.
