    Angers me to no end to see a vintage Sid Miller Department of Agriculture sticker - Sid Miller is a staunch supporter of the citizenry, so the Texas Legislature stripped him of power to go after gas stations that were stealing via intentionally miscalibrated measuring devices and dumped it on the already-overwhelmed TDLR.

    My friend bought a van with the first real diesel Chevy made. ( not the converted 350) 6.2 liter in 82 if I can remember that far back. The month after he bought it gas and diesel prices flipped.

    Similar situation, four years ago I bought a VW TDI wagon (which anyone will tell you, owning any VW is a love/hate relationship!) and shortly after it seemed the gap between gas and diesel prices increased dramatically!

    I decided to look it up, and the trend does support that observation (the red line is approximately when I bought my car)...
