They are lumping in pneumonia and influenza in some of the statistics and there are many instances where people clearly died from a totally different cause and the primary cause of death was covid.Harris County is nowhere near 50 fatalities per day for COVID. They’ve only reported 458 total COVID death over 123 days, which is less than 4 extra per day. The worst day so far has been 105 extra state-wise, with the average being well below 50 statewide.
If there’s going to be a problem it’s the logistics depending on how long the cadavers hang out in cold storage...if they’ve got to wait for a COVID test to be completed and returned prior to going to the funeral home, that’s gonna create a logjam.
