Butter, unsalted, stick, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Avocado oil, nut oils, Pecan, Walnut, Almond etc.

    A word on oils:

Unrefined: Refined is a food term that means HEAT and Chemicals have been used to extract the oils. WHY? You get up to twice as much oil by the heat/chemcial process as you do by the cold press/mechancial method.

Cold pressed: No heat, mechanical press

    Virgin: FIRST press

NOTE: You pay a premium for Virgin, but Cold pressed, Unrefined on the label is acceptable

Whatever's put in front of me. Oleo for about the first 55-60 years & butter for the latest 10-15 years. Always someone else's decision.

    I can't believe it's not butter! No...really, you'll have to leave now!

In most cases, salted creamery butter. I do cook some with marginal...er margarine, 'specially mixed with butter or olive oil.

Jeeze fellas, what's next? Spam or ham?
