Get a weathered fence picket and furniture nails. Nail him out. He'll shed but just brush it off with a soft brush. The skin will dry on the board. I did the same thing with a big ole chicken snake.

Trim the belly scales off the skin. Only the pattern gets mounted.

He is in a mason jar of glycerin and alcohol now. We had a large eastern diamond back growing up that we mounted on a nice plaque. Want to do something the same way.
