For the average shooter, and possibly more so for the average DPMS owner it’s unlikely they could consistently hit a 6” plate with iron sights at 50 yard.

Most gun owners don’t train much.

And my comment on DPMS owners isn’t derogatory. It’s a less expensive rifle that less serious shooters are more likely to purchase.
Yup. That's why PSA bought them.

    That place east of Waco....
    Concerning the roof.....

There was no need for a sniper team on the roof where the assassin was found. All that was needed was for the Staties or local LEOs to assign a junior officer to sit on that roof with a cooler, a radio, and a carbine. If any unauthorized person tries to access any of the roofs in that area, the JO radios for confirmation and pops the trespasser's cap.....

Something no one is talking about is how easy it is to pull a shot to the left with a pistol grip rifle - or any pistol.

Main cause is when you squeeze the trigger you mistakenly curl your entire hand instead of just your index finger.

A very common mistake for an inexperienced shooter.

“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point,” Cheatle told ABC News on Monday. “And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof … [so] the decision was made to secure the building from inside,” Per Cheatle. Uh, so the guys on the 'other' roof weren't in danger from the sloped (pitched) roof? Stinks. Enough of a stupid comment I'd have fired her.
