    Had a great time this morning! No pics or videos of the action, but will throw one up of my new $329 RIA 1911 I got to shoot for the first time today!

    Nice, no need a set of Hogue grips.

    Govt. Model Rubber Grip with Finger Grooves [45000] - $24.95 : Hogue Inc.

    I like these for comfort when shooting a bunch of rounds but I think there are more grips for the 1911 than any other pistol. You can get personalized or highly decorative grips for any price range.

    I don't know if they are Hogue are not. But I got to shoot that one and the rubber grips he has on it are awesome...made my grip perfect.

    Do y'all think that if we made this an early lunch or brunch that we would have more turnout? Also, if anyone has any ideas on a date and a place for breakfast i would love to hear them.

    This is why I'll never own a 1911. I'd spend all my money on personalizing it and wind up with something like this ;)

    "Retardor" is an apt name for that pistol. BTW, what is the thing on the top of the slide that looks like a lens? Is it some kind of pop up optic?
