I don’t think Cornyn is as popular as Ted. Even with some not voting for Ted after his convention fiasco, I think Cornyn may have a tougher fight.

M. J. Hagar right now is the lead contender in the democrat pool to run against Corynyn. She could beat him IF can get huge finances simply because a lot of people have a negative or ambivalent view of Cornyn. Robert Francis right now has a large amount of campaign funds that by law have to be used running for office... he could give it to Hagar, but I think his ego is Texas large enough he just might run.
