I can confirm that, Major Kong is more of a "65 degree" kind of guy.


No-go for me on a Friday range trip, gotta work.

Sure hoping for some good weather on Sunday, though.

If it drops below 50 degrees, the thermal underwear comes out.

It is 40 degrees and raining, but it sounds like there are some big guns at the range right now. I guess if I was a hunter, checking the zero on your rifle right now would be a good idea. It is too damn cold to be a good idea for me...

I ended going to Memorial SC this afternoon since I had not been shooting in two weeks. Really starting to get into the off-hand stuff.

Went there a few days ago. Wore some gore tex shoes to keep my feet dry. Going to wear boots next time. It's been worse, but eh.

Muddy still, but 68 degrees, blue skies, and light (3-5) shifty breeze.

Crowded as all get out.

Guess I hadn't been to the range since the new year began; went yesterday and d@mn you price increase!

At least it wasn't a lake; just more small mud pits -- the new dirt packing where you stand to post targets was nice though (somewhere on the 100 yard lane is a pair of buried safety glasses)

Since it's going to be raining tomorrow (my usual range day) I'm going to brave the crowds and head out there this morning. I'll probably spend most of my time on the 25 yard lanes shooting off-hand but I may be on the 50 yard lanes trying out some new ammo as well.
