The main act at the Sea Devil while I worked there was The Pride of Bedlam, which billed themselves as Houston’s number 1 pirate band. 3 acts a day for two months of weekends.

I never understood them or their groupies. The final pub song of the day packed them in. On bad rain days the would be behind the bar. Idiots drenched standing in mud puddles shivering their timbers.

After one Saturday night the next morning I found an adult diaper fully load were they changed right at the front of the bar.
