Fondled Gen 5 17 and 19 today, I do not like the lack of finger grooves. I was "meh" about Glocks before, but "gah" now.

Put about 50 rounds thru a rental G43 yesterday, first time I've shot one of them.
I really thought I wanted one for CC...now I'm not so sure.

It's "as Glock" as my G19's but just didn't feel all that great...and I'm used to having much more magazine capacity.

G43 has been my daily carry for about 18 months now, it's a better gun than the shield probably not as good as the XDS or the Sig P938..... Frankly I am thinking about getting a Canik Stingray (if I can find one) and carrying that. I'm a convert, glocks.. you all can keep them... the Glock 19 is what I consider to be the baseline for a 9mm pistol.. That is.. the minimum amount of functionality and accuracy I can accept in a 21st century semi automatic handgun.

I'm a smaller guy.. I like the way a G43 fits in my hands.. I'm fairly accurate with it and I have +2 baseplates.. so I have 8 + 1 in my magazines, but I am constantly on the lookout for something "better."

    I have a +2 extender on my 43
    + rubberized talon grips

I’ve had a heavily modified Shield
    Xds and now g43

    Only 1 left is g43

Try putting your pointer finger on front of the trigger guard hook instead of wrapping all the fingers around the firing hand, not touching the front the guard. Like common hold training on bigger Glocks. It'll sit lower and offers better control.
