Yeah the new micro compact guns is what triggered the idea in my head. I couldn't imagine ankle carrying my S&W Shield plus but a smaller thinner gun maybe. Maybe something link the Bodyguard 2.0?Many, many years ago tried one as well. Kinda. Was given a like new ankle holster for a snubbie revolver. It never made it out of the house test stage. With dress slacks it was doable. Anything else was near a waste of time.
That said. With today’s micro’s it may be a little bit better. Never have revisited the idea.
Ankle holster excels while seated- in office, car or Italian restaurant.Never saw a purpose unless you were a drug dealer.
When working for companies that don't mind you carrying, but prefer you keep it hidden? With open carry, why?
I have an ankle holster gifted from a friend who didn't want it either.
I tried it out and quickly dumped it.
It's not the 1970s anymore...

My company actually prefers I open carry...When working for companies that don't mind you carrying, but prefer you keep it hidden?
A job that you wear a toolbelt for, that makes carrying anywhere on your waist impossible?
Some don't. My old boss said carry if you want but don't ever let anyone see that you are.My company actually prefers I open carry...

I've done it with shorts and cowboy boots. Worked fine except for the wife rolling her eyes all day.Ankle carry doesn’t work too well when you wear shorts 10 months out of the year.
