I think the public was duped in the last presidential election. McCain had a "whistle" in his speech and I believe technicians even enhanced it to make McCain less likable as he spoke. The whistle drove me nuts! Microphones are available to dampen that sound but I believe McCain was sandbagged in that way. Little crap like that can make or break a candidate.

Do you recall the Nixon/Kennedy debates.....or have you seen tapes of them? Nixon was sweating like a $2.00 Hooker and he came across as nervous and lacking poise. I saw Kennedy speak in the Chicago area. He stood ramrod straight and looked the war hero that he was. The man had a smile as big as Texas and was warm and personable. Poor uptight and stiff Nixon didn't stand a chance!

If someone is going to beat Obummer, the guy will need good speaking abilities, poise onstage and a lot of crooked friends. Obummer has enriched the wealthy class and the corporate types. It's going to be a tough run in spite of the damage he has done to our nation.

Hey....if Sarah Palin would flash those hooters, maybe she could beat old Skinny Obummer!

Obama is not a fool, he just appears to be fool. He knows exactly what he is doing and he is doing it well, destroying this nation to promote socialism. Another term and he might just succeed.

Like it or not, there is NOT going to be a "one size fits all" Repug candidate.

Sure, Newt is the smartest and most Constitutionalized person in the country. But he is duller than a worn K-Bar. Lots of baggage.

Romney is the best business organizer and best looking male, with lots of money. But he has been scammed by the Mass. demos who bastardized his Romney Care and he is being blamed. His Mormon religion is only a problem for the rabid libtards.

Huckabee is a GREAT gun guy, and a successful govnor, which is tops in my requirements. But he lacks charisma, and demos are castrating him over his being a part time preacher, and letting a killer go free.

Palin should be the top choice, most experienced, NUMBER ONE with the 2nd Amendment, most charisma, and can draw HUGE crowds. Plus, there WILL be a woman president one day. Who do you want? Hittlery? But the left wing media spotted her early, got out the BIG GUNS after her, and have leaped on her every word. Right now she appears marginalized.

Trump? The book is still out on him. He is, naturally, confrontational. Is he a conservative? Or merely a job-hopper? He is saying all the things that I want ALL the Repug candidates to be saying eventually. IS OBUMMER LEGITIMATE? WHY are we paying $4.00 gas? Why does your (not mine) president bow down to every other country? And we can NOT sustain the record deficit.

Bachmann, I like her, she made a babbling idiot of Chrissy Hissy back on election day. So she CAN be witty. But like Palin, her every word is scrutinized and with every stumble, the left wing media pounce on it. I don't like the idea of a congress-critter becoming president. It was supposed to be a no-no, and Obummer has proven it a fact.

Most of the rest, small potatoes, until one emerges. There could be someone obscure who bounces out of the pack. Time will tell.

Of the above listed candidates, Palin is the only one who does NOT cause vomit to surge up in the back of my throat. I freely admit that there may be several "other" reasons for that. If the choice is between an old fart who looks like me or a very pretty and exciting young woman..........well, Hell, I'm a goner. I also like the idea that she is a Washington DC outsider and doesn't have the history with the thieves in Washington.

That being said, I look back on the election of Jimmy Carter. JC is a good man and his activities since leaving Washington, give evidence to that. When he came to Washington, he brought all his own people from outside DC. That group was nicknamed "The Georgia Mafia." Carter had good intentions and ideas but the Congress stonewalled him and kept him from rocking the boat or implementing any of his ideas. The man got nothing done in 4 years and the tag team effort of the House and Senate against him was directly responsible.

Nothing has changed since then. The Republican and Democraps work together to keep progress from being made to benefit our nation. Any new face that came to Washington as president would experience exactly what Jimmy Carter got. Congress would tag team the new president, then isolate and render him/her ineffective. We need to learn from the past and Carter's presidency is a perfect lesson.

Breaking the stranglehold of the R/D parties in the House and Senate is absolutely essential to make our government work again. Any new President who comes to Washington will have Congress shut him/her off like a light switch and without a chance to think and move freely, it doesn't matter who is elected to the office.
