I though it was real insightful of the author that in the third paragraph he said (referring to obama) as the "insurgent candidate." I found this quite amusing. I just hope and pray to God that in 2012 we will no longer have obama's change, but a better change with a different president. Im a little scared that we are only going to replace one evil with another.

You can't be serious. I have been around to see a lot of presidents in my day (Gee willikers) and while in my younger days I didn't pay a lot of attention to what they were doing, I can guarantee there has never been a leader who was so inept, so INexperienced, so ILLprepared for the job, and who absolutely didn't know JACK about governing this country.

Top that off with his wanting to lead us more to the Left than anyone in history ever has, we have the makings of a "Chinese Cluster Fuick" going on in this country.

Nothing or no one can possibly be worse than we have now.

GWB was a damn good president. History will prove that (if we can keep the libs from writing history). Obama scares half of his own party.
left, right, left, right. We need someone more centric and HONEST to step up and run this country.

I was reading an article that touched a serious nerve. Never before in 19th/20th century history has a democratic president lost a second term except for one: Jimmy Carter.

The author pointed out that there were three main issues surrounding Jimmy Carter and all three of those issues stopped him from winning his second term. Those issues were 1) High inflation; 2) High unemployment; 3) a charismatic Republican opponent. The author argues that without all three of these issues present, Barrack Obama is more likely to win than to lose his second term.

I tend to agree with his logic. Our main concern should be finding a charismatic leader to run against him since inflation is inevitable and unemployment is only really improving in the government sector. At this point, the GOP has done a piss-poor job of doing what will be required to throw our current dictator out. I almost wonder if they have been so converted to Neoconservatism (which is a nice name for closet socialists) that they are unable to choose such a leader. I keep hearing the sad old names they paraded around back in 2008 and I must say I have little confidence Obama will get beat.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him good. Sure, he inherited a load of crap. But his administration signed off on the patriot act, brought us the DHS and the TSA and other unconstitutional nonsense. Yes, he was a serious step up from the previous guy, and a hella lot better than the turkey that replaced him, but I sure would think hard before I called him "good".

And he had to respond to the worst attack on our turf in history. Now think about how other leaders past and present would have responded to that. Damn terrorists!

Got lots of thoughts to posts in this thread, will only address one for now. Buuuuush.

Think back about what Bush had to endure. First, the Florida Fiasco. It was THE whole election, right there. Democrats discovered that if they recounted in democrat precincts they could "dig up" votes. With each recount, they came closer. The Supreme Court saw what was happening, they stopped it, just in time. Naturally rabid repug haters had a field day, used it as campaign fodder for years. ... "Buuuush STOLE Florida".

Then the selection of his cabinet. He had a late start due to Florida. What did democrats in the Senate do? They stalled, excoriated every one of his picks. I can still see Ted Kennedy SCREAMING, veins popping out, about that evil John Ashcroft. Just because he was Pro-Life and Pro-Gun.

Then the first Bush Tax Cuts ............ NO, NO, NO, No... Democrats fought it tooth and nail.

Then came the China Spy Plane incident. Democrats said the China leader would have him for breakfast. He did fine, stood his ground, we came out ok.

Then 9/11. Demos SCREAMED, still do, that Bush should have SEEN that something was coming. What would they have him do, in hindsight? Ground all the airlines, create pandemonium? Demos would have castrated him.

After 9/11 Bush was sick, he vowed that it would never happen again on his watch. He went AFTER Terrorists with a vengeance. Demos beat their chests, were behind him, for awhile. Until he was being compared to FDR ... WOAH!!!!!! They used Abu Grab to bring him down to earth.

The rest, as most of you know, is History. Not the Revisionist History being rewritten by liberals today.

Our Nation has become "balkanized" a little like Serbia/Croatia/Bosnia-Herzgovina but not as in their religious intolerance between themselves. We haven't had ethnic cleansing as they have....Our Nation weakening and destruction is dedicated to stirrers of racial strife, political correctness, entitlements to they whom won't work, they who sneak across International Borders to eat some of the American Pie and the unwillingness of the Federal Government to do anything other than spend to buy votes here and spend to enrichen Governments abroad many or most whom don't deserve it. Millions have flocked to Federal employment which lines the Professional Lawmakers pockets seemingly staying in office forever. Our Government needs peaceful "field stripping, cleaned and oiled throughout", the bore cleaned and oiled and placed in good working order. The Judicial System, and Attorneys are also flawed.

The fact that McDonalds had a "hiring day" when they planned to hire 50,000 people, is a real good indicator of the depths to which we have been pulled. Adults were clamoring over teens to get the jobs as they were desperate to feed their families. Having the event be front page news is another indicator of where we are as a nation. McDonalds.....$7/hour jobs..................they beat no job at all!

With millions of people out of work and the economy in the crapper, maybe Obummer SHOULD be re-elected so he can preside over the rotting corpse of a once powerful and wealthy nation. That way, he and his Legislator buddies can finish the wrecking crew job that they started. One problem, though, they have screwed us so badly that there is little to steal any more. Perhaps they will move on to greener pastures.

Obama is not a fool, he just appears to be fool. He knows exactly what he is doing and he is doing it well, destroying this nation to promote socialism. Another term and he might just succeed.

The key to an obummer re-election is who runs against him......Remember Bob Dole???? The same old tired, has-been, looser names won't mean much to the uneducated masses who voted for bummer.

Point in case: we had an election last fall for local DA. I didn't figure the incumbent could win dog catcher. He won again, not because folks wanted him but they didn't want his opponent. That exact thing could get bummer re-elected. I know folks who are waking up to the situation and figured out they got the short end, but there are still those uneducated who are waiting for a "check" and think he will send it to them. Many inner city folks in both the North and South will vote blindly again based on color and race. If that wasn't the truth there wouldn't be a Democrat in office. Don't believe it: look at the mayor of New Orleans after Katrina and Sheila Jackson Lee in the 5th ward in Houston. They never learn.
