Yep; Major Grant. He'd been acting since 1970. I think the first role I distinctly remember him in--other than the Roots miniseries--was 1982's somewhat odd fantasy flick, The Beastmaster.

I remember him as the dad from "Good Times". First role I ever saw him in that I recall. And decades later he still looked the same.
