I disagree totally. He/she is a new member and asking legit question.

To new member, welcome . Here is a good sight to answer some questions, pay attention to #9 to answer your question. As to how to go about the process, find a gun range or individual who is qualified to teach the course at a range. He/she will guide you easily thru it. Good luck.

If you have to ask here, you are not qualified to carry licensed or not.

I do not think he or she had to ask, I think it was an option to ask here. Isn't seeking knowledge about firearms including legal carry info an excellent reason to join this site and to ask such questions on this site ? How would asking that disqualify someone from carrying, as you put it, licensed or not?

    Personally find it strange.
Why a person would choose to come on this site as a newbie and ask that question and wait for an answer.
And an 18 year old of all people. My 18 year old grandson can find the answers to just about anything in seconds on google ( as can you) and knows what parameters to use to search.
    Just saying.

Now you are stereotyping teenagers. You would expect me at 70 years old would know about everything there is to know but you would be wrong.

Now, is it dumb to ask for knowledge?
As has already been said, try to ignore the few grumpy folks we unfortunately have here because there are a whole bunch of really good, knowledgeable, and helpful people here.

Welcome. And please consider introducing yourself here:
