I'm waiting for someone to name a racehorse AOC.If he like AOC then he must like donkeys too.
Think of the fun he could have with you if he had the inclination to do so.Oh, and I am no longer believing anything here unless it comes from Vaquero.
Closing 3 hospitals is a little misleading. 2 are stand alone ER facilities that started popping up a few years ago. While a few patients might spend the night that's not really what they do. The surgical hospital is a good size facility but I don't know how many beds they use or how many procedures they do up there. Since their model revolves around procedures being done it's understandable that they're slow. The census overall across the system is down like the article states thoughThis bullet was in my "Texas Minute" email today (I don't know that the embedded link will work):
Texas cities have yet to see the surge in Chinese coronavirus infections projected by health experts. Ross Kecseg reports that even in hot spots such as the Dallas area – where county officials have imposed the harshest restrictions on residents – patient volumes have dropped at many medical centers and emergency rooms. In Central Texas, meanwhile, St. David’s Healthcare has closed three hospitals due to a decline in patient demand.

Gdr_11.....Thank you sir.
I just looked. They don’t personally recommend the distance and masks but refer to the CDC and WHO, that obviously trot those lines.I have posted this kind of message time and time again based on my 20 years of setting up infection control programs in healthcare and higher education. But, people do not want to hear the facts as long as CBS, CNN, MSNBC and the other fear mongers keep screaming airborne transmission.
Yesterday I responded to someone using a CDC report that quoted a test that took air samples in the vicinity of infected patients. I pointed out the use if “may, could, possibly” and other indefinite words in the report and received ANTIFA like responses because I downplayed airborne transmission.
I am done trying to help people understand because they don’t want to.
My last suggestion is for folks to visit the Mayo Clinic website and read what they say about COVID 19 protection. Yep, no mention of social distancing, face masks, etc. They say wash your hands and use sanitizer. Of course, the Mayo Clinic is one of the few top flight medical organizations that do not receive hundreds of millions of Federal grant funds in order to keep their doors open
Because they prepared in a "Hard" way. All electives are cancelled etc. This leaves hospitals absolutely BLEEDING cash. A cow can only bleed for so long. In,
No sarcasm.
Why, if cv is so prevalent are so many medical facilities closing shop?
Why aren't cv victims heading out for treatment in droves rather like the 'awake dead'...if you will?
WTF!

I'm glad I went to Inks Lake on Sunday... It was really nice to get out of the house and hike around. I was planning on hitting up more parks, but I guess that's done.
Fishing is supposedly still an "allowed" activity. Where do y'all fish that isn't a park or private property?

When I was at Inks Lake a couple days ago I saw two kayakers from about 300 yds away, a family of 4 who were speaking something eastern european sounding, and a young couple. That's it... Closest I ever got to anyone was when I passed by the couple on the trail.Governor Douchebag, I was just told , closed the parks because of complaints from park authorities saying that people in the park were not maintaining social distancing
