I also hate when people argue with me that my former AKM is illegal and that I need a license to own it, or any gun for that matter, and that I can't keep it in my car. Argued with an Afghani about that once, and my sister. And my bro tells me not to take my 1911 with me at night and my mom tells me not to keep guns in my car when I go out because the cops will take me to jail. I hate ignorance.

Yeah. The "registered" one always gets me too.
Also, people that think you need some sort of license to simply own a firearm.

Most of all: people that don't like "guns", so they think I shouldn't be able to own one either.

A lot of former military people think that because they handled an M-16 once on a KD course that they know everything in the world about firearms. THEY DON'T. Since leaving the military I figured out the civilians know a hell of a lot more and can shoot better than me!
    +1!

People who know everything and aren't willing to learn something new.
    + a BILLION!

Nice thing about having kids grown and gone is that you can actually AFFORD some toys, y'know? Had ah known it'd be THIS nice, ah'd have kicked 'em out a LOT sooner!

People who think guns have to be registered in the state of Texas. People who tell me 4/5 of the guns I own are illegal because they are "Machine guns" or have "Large clips." People who think Britain has a lower crime rate than America. People who believe this is due to gun control (wrong on both counts).

People who whine about getting hit with brass. A couple of dudes at the range asked if there was anything I could do to stop my AK brass from flying everywhere. I went to my car and put an ice chest next to me rifle with the lid up. After about thirty rounds one of the douches actually says in an indignant manner, "I got hit by one again." ONE?! Man the **** up already- when I was in the military we used to get scalding hot 5.56 brass down the backs of our collars and couldn't do anything about it because it would have been a safety violation AND we would lose too much time. I have to wonder if these guys bitch that much at the handgun range- or if they're even men enough to handle it. Hell, one of my own rounds bounced off the ice chest and cut my forehead- and I'm a better man for it!

People who think reloads are second rate for range ammo.
, who don't understand what a "hand load" is.
, who are afraid of the demon un-jacketed bullet.

Oh, yeah... "I don't like guns, I don't think anybody should have them." I hate that!

I just call them racists. ;)

I've met one of them, so I can agree with that stance. :p

Depends on who reloaded them. Gun show reloads? No thanks. My own? Yes, please!

People that are new to guns and make fun of my Hi-Points (there are OBVIOUSLY FAR better guns out there), but they blame their gun when I out-shoot them with my pot metal pistol... I welcome all hazing :)

People that slam the Mini-14 without having shot one and sport wood over AR15's because. I have both and I really ENJOY shooting my mini 14 more, but my AR is obviously the more accurate shooter.

People that think you have to spend 1k on a rifle scope or you will never be able to hit anything... I have Tasco's on most of my rifles. :)

People that complain when brass flies into their shooting area.

I had a guy ask If I would move down because my rifle was too loud and made him uncomfortable... that pissed me off... he ended up relocating himself.

That know-it-all that can't leave you alone at the range.

That guy that thinks it is ok to touch your guns at the range without your permission.

    ...and This guy...

M.I.M extractors on Kimber .45's... Oh wait, I love spent brass plinking me in the forehead when I'm at the range! Only true badasses can appreciate a good erratic ejection pattern! Knowing exactly where your brass is going to land is for pussies!!

Fail to fire, fail to eject, fail to feed, Clerke First (yeah, google that one). FFL dealer sold my daughter one of these Clerke First. She was so excited that she had bought her own pistol. When she saw how mad I was she wouldn't give me the name of the dealer or the reciept. (I gotta remember to thank her for that)
I finally bought the paperweight from her and took her to get a safe pistol. Ive seen better guns on the walmart toy aisle.

Hi Points piss me off. I have handled a few, but never shot one. I hear they shoot just fine. What gets me is the looks. Did they try to make it as ugly as possible?

People who assume what's right for them is what's right for me.

People with idiotic ideas who provide them to me unsolicited.
People with great ideas who keep them to themselves.
Note: If you have to wonder if you have a good idea, you probably fall into the former category not the latter.
