    Yes great idea, dumping more water on a fire that started due to water.

    The military can still use Halon. If the local FD could use it, fire suppression of the EV would be a lot more rudimentary. Now the best thing is dig a ditch, shove it in, and bury it till it burns up

    If what I was told recently is correct, Tesla is now designing their vehicles so the batteries will fall to the ground if on fire.
    The battery pack must be pretty flat then. Teslas are fairly low slung, so I’m not sure what good that would do if you cant clear the car from over the battery pack.

    I haven’t seen or dealt with it myself so not really sure how much it improves accessibility. Other companies make tools to slide under the vehicle and punch a hole in the bottom of the pack as well. But not sure how well they really work.
