Just rode the same route as Saturday. Here’s what my Cat Eye Astrale 8 has to say for distance calculated based on accurate tire size.
And don't forget to set a privacy zone if you dont want folks to see exactly where you live.Like @cycleguy2300, I will endorse Cat Eye as a dedicated computer and I’ve used a bunch to include a ton of garming Forerunner products. Most of those are going to be overkill and tedious to setup, generally requiring at least one wire to run and programming the computer to your tire size.
Or download Strava and get something like a bones wrap mount for your phone and be done with it.
This is what you will see while riding
And when you’re done you’ll get a ton of data starting with.
Finally, Strava has a feature called beacon that can be useful.
All if that for the cost of free. You can opt for the subscription, but I don’t see the need for it for most people.
Hey there.Anyone have a recommendation for a bicycle speedometer? Reading the reviews on the less expensive models, they seem like chinese junk. I really don't want to spend more than $100.
Any input would be appreciated.
Just speed and distance.Hey there.
Im actually a life long cyclist. What do you want out of your "speedometer"? For example, do yoh want gradient? Cadence? Power meter? Calories? Heart monitor?
Or just speed?
