Extractor looks fine. It really throws the brass. Estimating 12-15 feet to my 4 O'clock. They all ended up behind the guy 2 lanes over.Did you check your extractor?

Yep. Moonpie disposed of all his 1911's and got Glocks instead.Junk.
Send to Moonpie for proper disposal.
I put 160 rounds through it yesterday. I didn't have any malfunctions that looked like that. Mine looked like this. 3 fails to feed View attachment 215359 , all on the last round in the mag. Probably just needs more breaking in.

I'm sorry but limp wristing is an urban legend. Hold a 1911 as loosely as you wish and it will still cycle correctly.I use Wilson Combat mags in all of my 1911s. The factory mags never leave the box when I get a new pistol home.
Another thing that will cause a 1911 to have cycling issues is a term called "limp wristing". A lot of shooters new to the 1911 experience this. Practice will correct this issue.
The 1911 has hung around for over 100 years by being a reliable firearm when used correctly.
Although I don't think I limp wrist while shooting my 45s, I agree that they tend to cycle correctly under most circumstances. The 1911 is an iconic, wonderful weapon! My favorite!I'm sorry but limp wristing is an urban legend. Hold a 1911 as loosely as you wish and it will still cycle correctly.
I've been shooting 1911s for many years and never hit the "take down" button! I think one would have to try very hard to do that while shooting. I disagree.
Do you hit it with your thumb? If you're left handed all your fingers are on the right side! Or do you hit it with your right hand fingers? Sounds like a grip issue, not a gun issue. But, I'm not left handed. Are you left handed?
ETA: I am, and they do.
All 3 of mine.

Gotcha' I'll have to think about that.Left hand hold: During recoil the slide stop is pushed up locking the slide back due it touching the top edge of the hand.

Well aren't you special!Even happened with pimp daddy.
But, the slide doesn't lock back.
It jams.
I polished the feed ramp with a soft cloth wheel and red polishing compound. It's very smooth. One other thing to check...make sure the feed ramp is smooth.
