I'm old enough to remember my grandparents talking about living through the influenza pandemic of 1918, known as the Spanish Flu. Estimates are that 1/3 of the world population were affected and the mortality rate was about 10 percent. Between 30 and 100 million people died worldwide, with 50 million deaths being the most accepted estimate.
We all hope and pray this new Coronavirus is not as widespread or as dangerous. And I'm left with a question.
