My sister & a friend went and saw it this weekend. She said it was dark & disturbing. I think it kind of freaked her out. I’m just not into dark & disturbing.

Exactly! (uh, minus the purse, or murse) The kids and I used to love seeing how much we could smuggle in and enjoy. One of the few benefits of living in the Arctic Wasteland was big coats with lots of pockets. For the cost of one of the tubs of greasy popcorn, you could fill up the pockets, no problem.

The movie theater near me is $7 for a ticket so its worth checking it out

We saw it at the AMC at the Grapevine Mills mall for $20 for two tickets plus whatever we ate. No OMG ADDITIONAL SECURITY, (you know, in case somebody ignored their signs), and about half a dozen people in the entire theater.

Saw it opening night with a couple friends. Joaquin Phoenix rises up to say the n-word! I give it 9/10 societies.

Memes aside, it was a really dark film. This is definitely a film you see with friends, not your girl. And as far as "incel themes" go. Eh, I mean it's kind of there, it's not explicitly implied though. They also shit on the SJW/Antifa left the whole movie. Which is pretty damn cool.

Are you talking about that black woman? Its revealed he never actually dated her. He imagined the whole thing. What i perceived as a semi incel theme: There's this woman that's way out of Arthur's league (personally not into black women, but by most standards she's fairly attractive) and he know's he's not going to get with her, so he has to imagine them doing all these things to cope with the fact he's undateable.

I believe that relationship was a hallucination/imaginary sequence of events. The part with him in the audience of the talk show, as well.

As YG mentioned, two people can get vastly different outcomes for this movie. One critic has described it as both dental drill and Novocain.

My daughter went to see it Saturday night with her friends, and they searched all bags and jackets on the way in. Luckily it was a last minute decision to go so she didn’t have time to stock up her snacks to smuggle in.

Speaking of Movie Theaters, I went to the Movie Tavern in Bedford Saturday. I checked my Texas3006 app and they weren’t listed. I didn’t see a 30.06 sign. They did have armed security as well.

I asked my daughter the same question and she had no idea what they were searching for, but did see people throwing their “smuggled” food and drinks away as they were being searched.
