It's a sad state of affairs, but that was the last time I, or anyone in my immediate family will ever again go out of our way, or put ourselves at risk, to help out anyone we don't know in a situation like that.

We collectively dodged bullets, attempted rape, threats of violence and theft in the span of two weeks.

The aftermath lingers on daily.

I think Katrina was more efficient.

The environment civilized people live in should not be one where miscreants are comfortable dropping trou and spraying a doorstep of a residence or business with semi solid fecal matter while simultaneously shaking their dick at passerby’s as he is screaming about Jesus swimming in his butthole.

Run them off. Eventually they will find their way to the west coast where this behavior is accepted and embraced.

Use those big fire fighting water cannon trucks like out at the airport.
Fill them with disinfectant and/or soapy water. The trucks are designed to use fire-fighting foams so soapy water should work in them.
Several times a day drive the trucks up to the encampments and literally water blast the shit out of the places.
Do this during the night as well.

So what do you think abbot can do about the homeless situation? I'm open minded. I've just never heard or have seen any good options that work.

We should put them and the city/county prisoners to work cleaning up Austin. = In one city/county, where I was stationed on AD, the county government did that & we ended up with"the cleanest slum" in the East.
