I just have to say that there are some really cocky, self-righteous people on here, who apparently have no empathy for someone making a really stupid mistake that resulted in a tragedy.

I pray that neither you nor anyone you love ever commits a stupid mistake that harms someone else. But if you do, I suspect you would have a little more empathy.

That young woman made a tragic error and she has to pay a price for it. But it wasn’t murder. I’m not going to argue about the legal definition of murder, but what she did is not murder as most people understand it.

A sheriff shoots a homeowner through his kitchen window and gets no-billed. And yet this young woman committed murder? I think not.

I think we had a prosecutor, judge and jury wanting someone to pay for past social injustices, whether real or perceived. And Amber G. was the sacrificial lamb that wandered by at the wrong time in history.

Nope. She walked into a guy's apartment and shot and killed him.

    "Prove me wrong".

What is so funny about the brother not believing she should got to jail? Throw in the DPS Inv. That believes no crime was committed, that 23% of residents went to the wrong door and the 50% of the time during the sample test his door did not lock, and I am still surprised 12 people agreed it was murder.

Maybe you should reread what quoted and point out where it had anything to do with serving time in jail? I will requote it here for your convenience.
You are new here, but you will soon learn satx has a tendency to make shit up.

Did you know that the victim's own brother testified that he did NOT believe that she was guilty

    El Spicoli,

Our "Renegade" (like Trump-HATING, leftist, DIMocRATS) has a tendency to FALSELY accuse others of dishonesty, IF they disagree with him in any detail.
(I suggest that you check out the testimony of the victim's brother & what he testified to during the Penalty Phase of the trial earlier today.= At least here in San Antonio, his testimony has been quoted numerous times on TV & radio.)

    yours, satx

perhaps the reason you are surprised is your own biases. For example, you are so focused on Armstrongs opinion no crime was committed, you forgot the jury never heard his opinion. Thus if you cannot see the evidence from their POV you will never understand how they arrived at their decision.

Also the fact the lock did not engage is irrelevant, as AG stated the door was ajar. Even a properly working lock does not matter if the bolt is not in the hole.

As for the other folks going to wrong apt, I already pointed out how that was a flawed survey and generally meaningless even if it was scientifically sound.
