I'll report back after I go to let you guys know that I didn't accidentally pull out a real gun and shoot people.

Are you sure that carrying an actual firearm in an environment where realistic looking toy guns are in abundance and will be shot at you and others is a good idea? Especially since most people I see playing airsoft carry both a long gun and a side arm? The possibility for confusion is there.

You do you, but I'm not too sure I'd want to do that.

This is like one of the two cases I'd believe that there is a good reason for most people to be disarmed. On a sim range, anyone who might "play" shouldn't be carrying a real gun. And if you're around stuff that might go boom and kill a bunch of people, like parts of a refinery or dynamite factory or the like.

Why did you even come here to ask opinions if you were just gonna make a bad decision anyways?

I’ve enjoyed watching paintball and airsoft vids. Some guys are pretty damn good. Even seen a couple of vids where a guy takes someone’s holstered sidearm and pops them with their own gun after having some kind of issue with his own.

Pissed everyone off and was hilarious. Would have been a horrible tragedy in your case.

Safety isn’t about the things you expect to happen. It’s about preventing things you don’t expect. In this case, you don’t expect an actual firearm to be used, but by bringing it on to the field you are drastically increasing that chance. In fact, it’s probably far more likely that for some random reason your firearm discharges than it is that anyone comes in to assault you.

These chances are increased by the vigorous physical activity and increased further by the fact that there are so many realistic copies on the field.

Add in the fact that as someone else mentioned, trying to shoot while being pelted by 20 or more paintball/airsoft gun’s would be extremely difficult. I’ve done paintball and I’ve spent some time around airsoft guns. They aren’t for the faint of heart when the rules are out the window.

You are making a terrible decision. I really hope you reconsider.

No I'm not joking. I carry everywhere and I rarely go to places that I'm not allowed to carry.
I'm not going to accidentally lift my shirt and draw my pistol.
Why did you pose the thought about this if you didn't intend to change your carry practice? Did we miss the point of this discussion?

    Here
Going airsofting for the first time in a couple of weeks.
You guys know if they have any signage?

Already checked Texas3006.com and tried to get a street view of their front door.

Why don't you either call or email them and ask if you can carry while playing? That seems to me to be the easiest way to find the answer to your question.

Why did you even bother asking us if you should do it if you were just going to go ahead and go full retard anyways?
Because I would like to know what to expect and whether I want to support this business.

Why did you even come here to ask opinions if you were just gonna make a bad decision anyways?
I came to ask about their signage, I don't care about your opinions.

Asking for a lock and a ban. I don't want any association with you
Then how about you just go away and don't talk to me? Thanks.

This would definitely be a concern if I was open carrying, but I will not be.

In that case, it appears no one here knows the business’ status concerning 30.06.

You seem to have an understanding of the Texas Penal Code, so go forth and comply with whatever, if any, signage is present.

Best practices in any type of simulation environment is that no live rounds are utilized, as controls don’t exist to prevent fratricide.
