Do I want every damn round I can get without reloading if I should find myself in a gun fight? You bet your ass I do.

As a Marine, I always carried one extra mag in my gas mask carrier. When I was a LEO, I always carried extra ammo in my unit beyond the 4 spare mags on my belt.

Now, if I have my Glock 19, I have a 10 round mag in the weapon and a backup 19 (17+2) round mag with me. When I carry the 1911, I carry two extra mags.

It is not about how many it takes to take out one assailant, it is how many assailants you have to take out.

I tried that on my sister-in-law. I said “I went to the first one. I’ll go to the next one. Do I have to go to this one?”

Why the hell are you using a 10 round mag in a Glock 19? This is TEXAS. You can use standard capacity mags.
