Was that SAPD or a Security Officer at the door as you were leaving.

And you should have asked the rather large neckbeardy type that was walking you out where the .22 ammo was.

LOL. Actually, next time they ask me to conceal, I'm going to untuck my size S wife beater from my pants and put it over my OWB Glock 22.

SAPD is strictly forbidden from moonlighting in uniform. Too many lawsuits they had to settle over that. I think he was BCSO, but he may have been a Constable. Their uniforms look very similar.

I can't believe you watched it that far. Don't you have a TV?! :p

You also should have gotten a shot of the sign as you left.

Actually, I do not have a TV. Have not had one for almost 7 years. Best decision we ever made was to not get the free .gov converter box when tv went from analog to digital.

I stopped at "am I being given thirty-aught-seven notice." I wouldn't expect a store manager to understand that verbiage and it's already standoffish.

I agree with your position, just not your approach.

Fair enough. I'm not used to being put on the spot like that, especially over trivialities, so in those situations I get straight to the point. Being in violation of 30.07 isn't something I want to be the least bit vague about so for my legal protection I'm going to get straight to the point. If that seems standoffish to some then so be it. It's my ass.

I probably would have asked him to come read the sign with me towards the beginning so HE would know he's wrong.

ETA: I thought it was pretty benign and respectful.

The only comment I would make is that asking about the 30.07 notice makes you look, well maybe a bit to rehearsed like you were looking for a problem. I would of asked in plain language what the heck they wanted because it wasn't real clear. Do you want me to cover my gun or leave? To not bring in a gun even though it's legal? To just get out because legally carried in your unposted store? To never come back at all for some unspecified reason? They were not very clear what they actually wanted. If they were going to ask for you to leave then why ask to see you LTC? When did walmart start caring about videos in stores?

    Well, here's what got recorded:

Those of you who are seeing the video sideways will have to wait until Youtube finishes altering the display. Please read the video description located directly under the video before asking any questions, as I've already spent too much time on this whole thing and don't want to answer questions that have already been covered. It most likely explains everything, including the backstory. Thanks.

Why get into with them? Its private property?

The sign cites a section of penal code he,s guaranteed to be ignorant of and not care. Although I guess I could have had fun with that. His reaction to 30.07 verbal notice was enough for me, though.
