Compensator. My IPSC scores soared when I put a comp on my 1911. Does that qualify as range gear?

    Skid steer.
I spend more time shooting and less working on the range.
    U sir are a badass.

For or rifles if have to say good shooting bags. I have shot off of a truck window rolled down, a few fences, offhand, on a knee, but shooting from a rest and using a bag is a game changer. I never have one when I'm shooting animals. If I did I would know exactly where I hit them.

Btw- I was back home and saw my dad's empty brass (257 Roberts +p) and I feel very inadequate. I need to shoot more bolt guns.

Ever shoot off of a pack? Like a ruck sack or hiking pack?

    Tough question.

I'd have to go with rear bag for rifle. Mine home made and makes a world of difference.

    Gunz are icky.
    Quality spotting scope.
Spend way less time looking for the hole and more time shooting.
No walking back and forth checking the target.

    1. High quality hearing protection. Minimizes flinching when the guys at the tables to the left and right shoot their magnum rifles on the 50 yard line while I'm trying to hit specks of fly shnitt with my .22 LR target rifle.

    2. Don't drink more than three cups of coffee before range time.

    3. Decent bags for shooting off a bench.

    4. High powered spotting scope for calling shots.

I'm still early in the game but...

    Product: red dot sight
Technique: use of rear sand bag

Lately I've started putting up two targets side by side, one for the peep sights (Nodak Spud) and one for the red dot (Primary Arms micro). The red dot target almost always has better groupings. Indoor/short range (~20 yards or less) it's about 50/50.

Started using a rear sand bag last week on the 50 and 100 yard lanes and I really appreciate the added stability.

Ares Armor Effin A compensator. Tunes out for any ammo or shooting style. I didn't try every one on the market but I did try a handful and this one worked best for me.

A nickel... on the end of a S&W Model 27. My dad used to make me balance the nickel on top of the gun while practicing DA pulls. He would literally drill me every day until I had the smoothest trigger pull known to man.. really though... I thank my dad for pushing such a maddeningly frustrating exercise upon a 12 year old. So final answer.. a nickel...
