Busy couple of days... chopped some 223 to turn into 300blk.
Trimming deburring and chamfer takes forever .
Next I’ll invest in a giraud or little crow but later on as I just bought a frankford Arsenal pocket swagger.

    What in the world?
    A bugger in your primer?
Just crap you find when you run some volume. Found this gem the other day as well, powder probe tripped as soon as it blocked the drop.

Just hanging out in the powder keg. Small enough to make it by the funnel filter.

Interesting. I never though of checking powder when I pour it but I will start doing that.
I don't load large amount, just a few boxes a month. I check primers for sure but never powder.
Thx for the heads up and glad you caught your troublemaker.

    Same old, same old.
    Three boxes of .410’s.
I don’t like to load more than four at a sitting.
I manage to load a box every ten minutes or so. That includes topping off hoppers, adding primers and boxing.

Had some .300-cal 168gr SPBT bullets just sitting on my reloading desk waiting for some free time to get loaded.
I had some free time last night so I loaded 40 with different powder loads and will be testing them out in a week or two when the weather finally becomes more reasonable.

Necked down 60 6br Remington to 22 br. Sized, trimmed, neck turned, and primed for loading in order to fire form. Cleaned, resized 30 that I fire formed today. Load development begins Friday.

Think I found a good hunting load for my 6.5!

    adb97b7e128bc2f61508869a7c78eb0f.jpg

129 grain SP Interlock and Shooters World Precision powder out of a Savage Axis II Precision. I also took out 4 different factory rounds today and shot a 5 shot group with each. All different brands and weights. Almost every round I tried grouped sub MOA. All except some factory Winchester. The rifle did not like that stuff! Most surprising part was that point of impact stayed consistent throughout. This group was with 140 grain Federal Non Typical.

And this group was with 140 grain Norma Whitetail.

And this final group was Hornady American Whitetail, which uses the 129 grain SP Interlock.

Edit: First pic was the Hornady factory ammo (American Whitetail) and the last pic is my handloads. Both use the same bullet.

Had one similar not long ago. Little sucker clogged up my drop tube and caused a giant mess.

I use that same round in my Axis XP rifle that I paid $279 for and get similar groups. In fact I’ve decided to use that Hornady ammo in my XP. For 250 yds or less it’s pointless to try and improve on it.

Shot a buck with it and it was DRT. Not a step.

Happened into a acdemy yesterday and picked up 500 primers. I was shocked they finally had some.

I wish I had found a few hundred primers. I need replacements for those I'll use in the next week.
