    Hi Folks,

I have some money burning a hole in my pocket and am at a loss on how to spend it. Looking for suggestions on how to do so. Realistically, I'm looking for something of a safe queen and an ocassional range shooter. Budget is anywhere around $1,000 - $1,200.

I've had my fair share of 1911s, striker fired polymer pistols, etc. I even have some other safe queens such as a Desert Eagle .50, Sig P226 Stainless Elite, a number of Colt 1911s and a Python. A gap that I have in my collection is a modern shooter .

    Do Not Wants
    • Will not be carried
    • Striker Fired Polymer Frame (Glocks, M&Ps, etc.)
    • Micro-carry or sub compact
    • .40 S&W
    • Don't want junk

    Wants
    • Handgun
    • Something different (maybe even impractical to a small degree)
    • Visually Appealing - Nice machining, factory cerakote, etc.
    • Full size or Compact
    • Optics ready (I'll likely put a red dot on it)
    • Relatively high capacity
    • 9mm, or maybe 45

    Items already considerations
    • Springfield Armory Emissary
    • H&K VP9 (yes, I know this is striker fired polymer pistol, but I looked at it)
    • Sig P210

    Any Suggestions???

    Out here by the lake!
I recently bought a Colt 9mm SMG kit, added a Quarter Circle 10 lower that was specific for the upper. Had it out today at EZ-E's range in his back yard & ran 150 round through it. I really liked it, and it shot well with no problems.

QC10 makes all kinds of PCC's & lowers & complete guns. I have nothing but good things to say about both their product & how they treated me over the phone & filling the order.

A 10 mm PCC might be even funner then my 9mm pistol. This all came about on a lark. I seen this 16inch H-Bar Colt upper complete for a very good price, and thought it be a nice upper for my M16. The guy that sold me the upper mentioned that he had the Colt 9mm SMG kits coming in. Originally I said no I have an MP5K I really don't need a Colt 9mm SMG for my M16. Well the lower was so nice I figured it's only money why not? Well one of my friends who knows way more then me said "Do Not put it on the M16 as it will beat up the registered receiver." So that who I came to this lates range toy.

Thanks for the suggestions y'all. Been looking into some of your suggestions.

The "Gucci Glocks" isn't quite what I'm wanting. CZ seems to make a lot of sense, but I can't say I know too much about their products. I know they purchased Colt a short while ago (I am a big Colt fanboy - for better or worse), so maybe there is some inherited loyalty there. CZ seems a bit unique in the market, but perhaps that what I'm wanting.

Springfield Prodigy can be a real good choice as well. I owned a cheap XD many years ago, but got rid of it after not too long. I recall Springfield caught some crap a few years ago. If I recall, they were backing some anti 2A legislation, but I don't recall exactly.

Bul Armory seems kinda neat. Volquartsen looks pretty weird.
