Good idea! I just got through talking to an extremely nice DPS officer regarding rules, etc. for walking on the highway. Glad I talked to him. Many good suggestions. This may happen after all! Maybe we can
catch a ride!

I heard walking along the Interstate is a no-no.

I'd heard that also. That's why I went by the DPS to talk to someone. He said just stay well off the roadway and even though some of his folks might stop and talk to us, we shouldn't have a problem.

My wife would probably do it. She finishes one 50 mile race and starts looking for the next one. Not quite right in the head, that one.

Set up a gofundme, make up your own charity, and then use money for a bus ticket and you can bring the beer cooler. If you do walk, take a SPOT with you so we can locate your carcass if it comes to that.

Maybe plan to do it in the fall? I hear it gets warm out that way mid-summer?

My friend (and I, hopefully) are not even considering until mid-fall. We first have to determine if we can do it and then begin training.

Excellent! Any idea as to how many miles per day you can average? I did a 20-mile hike back in the Boy Scout days and that was an ordeal. You're probably looking at close to a month?
