    Good idea! I just got through talking to an extremely nice DPS officer regarding rules, etc. for walking on the highway. Glad I talked to him. Many good suggestions. This may happen after all! Maybe we can
    catch a ride!

    Set up a gofundme, make up your own charity, and then use money for a bus ticket and you can bring the beer cooler. If you do walk, take a SPOT with you so we can locate your carcass if it comes to that.

    My friend (and I, hopefully) are not even considering until mid-fall. We first have to determine if we can do it and then begin training.
    Excellent! Any idea as to how many miles per day you can average? I did a 20-mile hike back in the Boy Scout days and that was an ordeal. You're probably looking at close to a month?
