'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
I guess dearly beloved is correct in saying I'm crazy as a chicken snake. A friend who just retired is planning a walk to Terlingua from his house in Dripping Springs! Just for the hell of it! I told him I'd go with him. I don't really think I can make it. We are in the planning stage now. He has a deer lease there. Dearly beloved thinks I'm off my phoking rocker! But that's not new! We are still in the planning stage.

You sure you want to do it in the summer?

One thing I learned in the Army, is the value of a good, soft orthotic insert. Dry feet. And wool socks.

And a Camelback. I have an extra new in the package if you need one.

How do you eat an elephant?
    One bite at a time.

So just walk a mile per day until you get there

    I’m thinking 2 weeks, max.

To put it in perspective, it would be similar to walking from Dallas to South Padre.

    Dayum!

    In the woods...
You know what... Go for it if you want. If you only make it fifty miles it will give you something to talk about.
People have certainly done crazier things.

You will have to be free from gout. I'm a fellow sufferer and if you have a flair up no way you can walk a distance.
