Yep, you took the high road and good on you. He'd have gotten a big **** off from me after I tried to be nice and civil and he persisted with the bullshit.

I had posted a thread about this guy and this is the last time I saw him.

then he said I needed to cut my hair and the yard and wandered off.
Dan's a hippy! Now the question we have to ask is, is he related to Mexican Hippie?

See the secret is be like me. Whenever you come out of your house, walk the perimeter and growl at your neighbors. Peeing on bordering plants helps with the "this is my yard MY YARD!" effect. All the neighborhood dogs think I'm a role model. :)

I think the people we bought our house from were the crappy neighbors. We've had a lot of people approach us either thanking us for fixing things that were not taking care of or tentatively asked us to help go in on fence repairs or other things the previous owners didn't seem interested in helping out with.

Much better than the neighborhood we used to live in. I hated the rental property right next door.

Yesterday morning, I looked out into my back yard and saw one the fattest, longest Cottonmouth's I've ever seen slowly crossing the lawn.

So yes, there's a practical reason for keeping your lawn mowed.

I think the OP was a good guy for responding positively about mowing the lawn per his neighbor's request.

I would've halted the discussion (if it was as hostile as it sounded) and asked how is what the OP does for a living germane to the lawn mowing issue and once called a liar, my neighbor (unless he comes around with a sincere apology) would never be spoken to or paid attention ever again.

He would forevermore be invisible to sight and sound, the asshole.
