I live in Belgium (Europe) right on the former front line of the first world war.
Between 1914 and 1918, 11 million men died on that front line, of those, about 3,5 million have never been found. Vaporized by successive explosions, buried in trenches and covered by the next blast...
Which means remains are found almost weekly.

When building our house we found the remains of some French infantrymen. We also found several types of firearms. I don't know that much about them, so I'd like to ask fellow gun enthusiasts if you could help me identify them.

I'd like to post pics of the finds, are there any rules? I also have pictures showing the remains of the infantrymen. Are they allowed?

    Thanks in advance!

Lol, at least wash the bones off with a water hose. Maybe stick a cigar in the skulls jaw.

Can't be worse then watching American Horror Story.

Oh yeah, totally subscribing to this thread. Can't wait to see some pics, WWI/WWII history is some of the most interesting to me.

You also might try gunboards.com They are collectors and they have a subforum for WWI and WWII. Also try milsurps.com Many on that forum live in Europe as well.
