STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Math
STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Math but one of the shooters that went to that school was in drama!
It's the times. Corporal punishment is now considered a crime, in fact the definition is now made out to be worse than when I was a child. Coddling by parents, or parent, is how the we got those in the far left today.Lots of kids with all kinds of 'less than ideal' upbringing end up being just fine. To wit, I don't think any family is perfect honestly. I know I'm not the perfect parent, not the perfect husband, not the perfect person, etc. I do my best and apologize when I don't.
I grew up without parents, Dad died when I was really young and Mom a few years later. Life after that was a bit rough, but I didn't fall down a dark hole. If anything I entered adulthood more prepared than my peers, since I got a head start doing things the hard way and learning from it.
I feel like our culture has undermined many of the things I’ve tried to teach as a parent. I think that many of my lessons I’ve taught never took hold due to the culture’s influence. So blaming the parents isn’t always so simple.
I also feel that both parents needing to work in order for families to stay afloat in many cases isn’t helping either. We resisted that the best we could, but the way our society is structured wasn’t optimum to enhance how I wanted to craft my family. We weren’t perfect.
At the time, it was the only mention I had seen of it.Was this only, or first reported by the press in the UK?
