That's kinda what I was thinking. But after looking through my T/C contender reloading manual , they have a published load using Lil' Gun that has some really crazy ballistics, esp. from a contender barrel. But, that is only looking at velocities, we shall see if I can come up with a load with decent accuracy. If not, they should work in my 222 or my 223.55g is a little heavy for Hornet. I use them in my AR.
Lil' Gun and heavier-than-seems-right bullets make the Hornet very happy out of a pistol barrel. For as long as I can remember, Lil' Gun has been magic in that cartridge, especially in that application. But after looking through my T/C contender reloading manual , they have a published load using Lil' Gun that has some really crazy ballistics, esp. from a contender barrel.
Thanks for the info. I just recently bought a pound of Lil Gun. I have never used it before. Anyone seen 180gr or 200gr Sierra SBTs in .308?? I hate that Sierra seems to do long runs of one or two weights in their gameking. Right now 180s and 200s are nowhere in sight.
Appreciate the offer Mickey but I am needing Sierra Gamekings specifically for Africa this MayI have an unopened box of 100 Hornady SSTs in 180g.
I've been using them on deer for about 15 years. Lethal, and little to no running. Most have been DRT or under 20 yards. I literally use them in every hunting round I load except 224 Valkyrie. My big 270 lb Colorado mulie didn't take a step.
I am in need of some H-4350. Happy to do an even trade.
likewise on any h4350 I come across. Cabelas in Allen had some before Christmas. Long gone by now but them and Scheels have been getting in way more powderIf I see any I will grab them for you.

Pretty good selection of powder in 1lb bottles at Cabelas in El Paso. No primers though.
