    Ok, I need help.
I need to be able to hit a man sized target at 75 yards with revolvers.........
The only revolver I have is my Long Colt. I need .357 magnum and others. Can anyone help me out? Maybe we can set dates for the range before the 2nd week of August.

Is it 75 yards, or 15 yards?
What ammo. do they specify? Hot .357 Mag. loads, or softer .38 spcl target loads? Do they specify?
Is it to be 4" Service revolver? A longer barrel? A snubnose, backup weapon?
I assume the target is a standard, static, qualifying target?
What are others? Does that mean a basic Glock? Or...?

I'd be more than happy to offer my help, but unfortunately, my Magnums are both in the shorter barrel length, and not a Service length. If that is what you're needing, let me know.

    Damn, 75 yds it is....

    Not how I read that.

The section appears to be ballistic performance of the ammunition, hence the effective range language.

ETA: I would expect a rest question or two like:
    * What is the maximum range of the .357/.38spl?
    * What is the effective range of the .357/.38spl?

I would be looking for the course of fire to know at what distance, under what conditions, and to what level of performance is needed.

    Gunz are icky.
I'm reading that as a standard 4" service type revolver.
    I've got a S&W Model 28 "Highway Patrolman" you're welcome to use.
It's big and heavy but will handle any .38 or .357 ammo.

I highly doubt they're expecting recruits to hit a target at 75yds with a handgun.

I checked this morning...this is all correct.

Handgun is the same as CHL test....3yd, 7yd, & 15 yd.
    Shotty is 50...(He thought)
Carbine is 75 and 100 for Officers.

Handguns are your generic S&W revolver. I can find out the length if you need it.
