Is he talking about changing his name to Robeta? Are you making assumptions about Beto?
That still depends on where the democrat voter sits in the spectrum. The older democrats are starting to look conservative (not actual) compared to the far left.A black female would be formidable. She would get the 97% of the black vote (as Obama did) and a high percentage of the female vote - regardless of her politics.
Yeah, about that.At best, Beto will be the VP/nu-Biden for whoever they think can beat Trump. No way the Dems could get away with running a cis-male in their current attitude.

Betotrice? Is he talking about changing his name to Robeta?
Let him run. He’s as nutty as the rest...

Splintering the party so completely that no (supposedly) mainstream candidate can get enough traction is precisely what opens the door to a, shall we say, "novelty" candidate. With Kamala Harris and now Howard Schultz entering the fray, Beto would only splinter the Democrats further.

Harris is starting to get flak for her previous actions as AG or whatever she was in California. Apparently she was on board with racist anti immigrant policies related to reporting suspected criminals who were here illegally to ICE.

True, but then Howard Schultz l believe is running as an independent and that will probably take many of the moderate democrats in an election.Splintering the party so completely that no (supposedly) mainstream candidate can get enough traction is precisely what opens the door to a, shall we say, "novelty" candidate.
We know what happens when the Republicans go through that process. The results were mixed but certainly better than the Dem alternative.
I fear what sort of candidate would come out on top of the Dem field if they go through the same process. That fear is mitigated by the fact that such a candidate would likely be so wacko that Trump would get re-elected easily but, still, I don't underestimate the capability of the Dems to select a truly terrifying candidate.
I'd like to see that and would be happy to vote for her.Too bad Condi Rice is too smart to run...that would make the election a shitshow in all the right ways.
I'd like to see that and would be happy to vote for her.
I am tickled he's running.Howard Schultz
She’s not as pro 2A as you might like.I'd like to see that and would be happy to vote for her.
Neither is Trump. She’s not as pro 2A as you might like.
