    True, they cover attorney fees for Civil cases, but very few cover civil "Liability Verdicts" unless choosing the most expensive plan or adding to basic coverage.

    if you are justified in the use of deadly force the grand jury clears you and there's no need for a lawyer
    I think the point of having an attorney is to ensure that the legal formalities are not being misused to misguide the grand/petite jury by the prosecutor should they press charge on you on the basis of, say, political agenda.

    I don't have a plan as of now because I guess a more "general" legal plan suits my need better; unsure if renter's policies cover civil liabilities of shooting in self defence (I assume not)
