I'm only catching and releasing.10 inch limit most places. If you are going to keep them, check the TPW book to make sure it does not fall under municiple rules. Some municiple lakes have wildly different size and bag limits or are catch and release only. Other than Bluegill, I hardly ever keep anything. Some fresh Bluegill does sound good right now. Might just go catch some tonight.

Never thought about that. Makes sense that a thriving ecosystem would maintain itself and stay cleaner.Probably why they are there. Helps keep the watter cleaner and from going stagnant.
A goog ecosystem in the pond also helps with misquitos and such.

Nice!Couple months ago, daughter and I, neighborhood lakes, Barbie fishing pole and turkey hot dogs.
I'd really like more info, like where it is legal and acceptable (e.g. no angry passers-by) locations to take her. If we could make an afternoon out of steel popups and fishing, well I'd call that a darned good day.If you are selective on the bayous you fish in Houston, you can work on target practice, self-defense drills and catch fish at the same time.
I believe the referral was being made to the thugs in Houston.I'd really like more info, like where it is legal and acceptable (e.g. no angry passers-by) locations to take her. If we could make an afternoon out of steel popups and fishing, well I'd call that a darned good day.
Owner and Trokar hopks have a better point. It is diamond shaped, like my leather awl. Cuts in easier and rips less so is less likely to get thrown.
But they do cost.

What you using on those ponds? Have a couple small ponds around me but haven't gotten anything to bite yet!Caught this 12" a little while ago.
Unfortunately the hook got into his gills and he didn't make it. I tried everything short of mouth to mouth to help him make it, but to no avail.
