Ruger Mk II, .22/45, or Browning Buckmark. Function in those is always 100% and they're excellent marksmanship trainers. Most of your holster practice should be dry practice, IMO.

I was trying to sell my Buckmark at the Saxet show for $400. I had a dealer tell me around 9am that he would purchase for $400 after he had made that much in profit. He still didn't have the money around 11:30 so I gave up on him. Another dealer offered $300 which I felt was too low.

I think $400 is fair considering there was a Buckmark for $350 on one of the tables. However, it did not have the splash paint job from Browning or the fibre optic front sight. If you are interested, let me know. I am also in San Antonio and have had multiple transactions all with 100% feedback.

I just bought the M&P22, and I absolutely love it. Only had it for a week and already have almost 500 rounds through it with just two 'malfunctions' (slide didn't lock back on empty twice). This isn't with expensive CCI ammo either, it was just the Federal 36 gr hollow point bulk packs.

Hey guys, I have about $400 to spend on a .22lr pistol. I'm looking for something to have fun with, possibly compete with, and also to practice draws, shooting on the move, etc (CHL type things-- since .22lr is way cheaper than .40). I'm looking at the M&P22 since it most closely resembles my glock, but I want your opinions. So what would you buy? New or used.

Edit: I now realize there is a rimfire forum on here. Sorry about that!

So . What did you get?

Don't know why anybody would be purchasing anything but a Browning Buckmark or Ruger MK-series or 22/45... unless they just like the looks of things like the P22 and Sig Mosquito that won't shoot all types of ammo while being less accurate with the ammo that it does feed.

I was looking for an sr22 but stumbled onto an mp22. I had to buy it! It's actually for the wife and kids but still. I may end up trading it to a friend for an sr22 after she shoots both to compare. I've shot the sr22 and loved it.

Ruger's new .22 is a ton of fun to shoot. I like it better than the Walther and Sig in its class.

Can't go wrong with ruger mk series. Every time I go to the range there is always space in the bag for this gun.

Shot our mp22 for the first time the other night. It's an awesome gun. My wife, 9yo and I all shot it. We only put about 40 rounds of cheap thunderbolt through it because it was brutal out but the thing fed them just fine. I was impressed.

Given to my from my dad. Excalibur (because you cross draw her like a sword) is a S&W 617 .22 6-shot revolver with a wide hammer and target (I guess, I didn't buy them) grips. Hands down one of the most fun guns I've ever shot... when my arms don't get tired from holding it up.

And yes, I name all of my guns. Don't judge me.
