    Hi Everyone,
New to the forum as I recently moved to the DFW area from Indiana due to my job. Figured i would join here as I was looking for a forum like I was a part of in Indiana. Also to get to know whats around, and maybe meet some new people since I know almost no one in TX.

Trying to get back into shooting now that I'm settled in here in the Dallas area. Used to dabble in club USPSA matches, attempt 3gun, and looking to get more into some PRS style shooting now that there are longer ranges around here in Texas.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone, and the area. Feel free to throw out suggestions, both shooting related and must do/eat/see things around DFW.

Welcome aboard. Several good ranges in Dallas area. Elm Fork is a good one. Garland Public Range is my personal preference. $20 to join, $20 shoot as many guns as you want, for as long as you want.

Lots of good food too. What area are you working / living? Good places close to downtown, northside and north of 635 and George Bush.

    Welcome.

Visit & give my best to The Old Monk (have the mussels), The Dubliner (Shepherd's Pie), The Tipperary Inn (Irish Stew), Hofstetters for the best schnitzel you ever ate, Café Madrid for Tapas. L'Ancestral is no longer there but there's plenty fine French food around.
I'm not much for steaks but you'll find some good ones around.

Currently residing near Love Field, & working off of Mtn Creek Pky down near I20. Will have to look into the ranges you mentioned, Thanks for the Info!

Awesome, thanks for the link. Do you shoot with this group? If so, is it pretty newbie friendly?
Your welcome. No I don't. I would like to. Waiting for my kids to get a little older... I'm not close by so it's a haul.

Everything I've read on them is good stuff. Seems they are very open to newbies. Sounds like they are cool with ya just going to watch a few matches and mingle. Then come back with your gear and jump in. If I was closer I would be a regular. Lol I love LR shooting.

Dunstons Steakhouse is near Love on Harry Hines, really good food and frequently a celebrity at lunch time.

Mia's on Lemmon has good Mexican food.

Mountain Creek is one of my old stomping grounds. In HS I used to duck hunt before class on the potholes sitting on unincorporated land off West of Loop 12 between HWY 30 & Jefferson.

Welcome! I am less than two miles from the Garland Public Shooting Range. Can hear it from my house usually.
