You might wanna' look it up first.
Looking it up yields the fact that it is non-standard usage, and is deadwood, especially as what the user means is "regardless"; therefore, putting and "ir" in front of the word is wasted letters, wasted typing, and wasted phonation. So, yeah.

"Irregardless is sometimes incorrectly used instead of regardless, but is not usually considered correct in Standard English, as the negative prefix ir- merely duplicates the suffix -less and as such is redundant. It originated in the mid-19th century, probably as a blend of irrespective and regardless, but despite its age it has remained objectionable to many."

    Middle of no where
Before the video started & i seen the lineup, I was thinking the motorcycle would have it in the bag, then started thinking about the F1 giving it a run for its money.

Ive seen some older TOP GEAR shows & they race a Veyron against a jet.
The Veyron will empty a tank of gas @ WOT in 7 minutes

Keep in kind, F1 cars are really optimized for braking and cornering.

Straight-line acceleration, while brutal, isn’t their strongest suit.

    Edit:
Which is all really a Duh moment for me after I hit send, because none of these vehicles is really optimized for this race.

I topped out one of my bikes right at 190, I don't think I have what it takes to hold on for another 50mph.

Although, I was on a 2 lane country road I was VERY familiar with which had no side roads at this point.
On something really smooth like a runway, it should be much easier .

I once did 110 mph on a friends Cafe KZ750 triple. Same sort of road. Car went by and the wake sucked me into the oncoming lane. Scared me silly. Had to stop and gag a bit. Cured me of the need to speed. He, later that year, misjudged a curve, hit a tree, broke his back and totaled that bike.

I topped out one of my bikes right at 190...... .
My 995 was running 112 when shifting into 3rd, 3 more to go. I never topped it out but my kid got stopped on it at 171.

Im too big, it starts to peel me off around 145.

Back to the vid.....A lot of the acceleration factor is in the weight/HP ratio. Different for everything of course but a lot of the stuff in the vid approaches 1/1.

Funny how you never see anything in the Top Fuel class in those vids...:green:

Stopped by DPS. Didnt go to jail, I couldnt believe it. Guy was a rider but he was still pissed. Made his little brother come get him in the pickup and said if he EVER saw him again he goes straight to jail...lol

Really dont know how he got out of that one. Said he passed the cop and just pulled over and undressed to wait on him. Said he almost got through a whole smoke before he got there. Cop WAS pleased that he just stopped.

    Ah.
I wondered how he was caught.
He was very lucky, stopping and waiting is the only reason he wasn't arrested.

I once did 110 mph on a friends Cafe KZ750 triple. Suspension on those things was terrible. almost as bad as the rotary Suzuki.

There were some super iconic bikes back in the day...lots of cool innovative ideas.
    KZ750s are awesome.

    I’ll take an RG500 please

Mom's '71 Estate Wagon coulda smoked 'em all. At least that's the way it felt sneaking the ole Buick out at 15yo (no DL yet) and going to Red Bluff theater. Houstonians will get the reference. :spank:

140mph on my '81 GS1100EZ was my top. The stop wasn't pretty but coulda been much worse.

I was thinking the bike & f1 car would be in the lead...i didnt think the fighter jet would be 3rd

Well keep in mind the winner was determined by what distance they decided to run.

    F-16 can hit 400 in 5000 feet.

An F-18 can hit 165 in 2 seconds in less than 500 feet off a catapult.

I imagine a Top Fuel Dragster would have easily won the 1/4 mile, probably why it was not included.
