Today I came home with a nice 120 gallon poly tank to make an irrigation tank for my garden. It was pretty clean already inside and out. It had a little residue in the bottom so I sat it in my drive way and put in some Simple Green and was running the hose in it to rinse it out.
There I was... then I heard a truck pull up and looked up to see a city truck stopped in the street looking at me. There was a stream of water coming down the driveway but I was washing in the driveway so it's no problem.

I looked at him and wondered what he was doing and what ordinance I might be breaking
he drove off and never came back. I felt a little dirty inside afterwards

Yea, its nuts. Never had a car wash use less water than I did when I did my own car. On the flip side there are too many people in Austin and San Antonio for the water capacity now (and growing).

Its ok, the millionaires on Lake Travis just run lines directly from the lake.

Perhaps we can make a drop-off for ALL the litter the homeless & worthless P.O.S.s are throwing in the street, since it's too much to either Shape Up - (just) Ship Out Private.

I hate this town! Lived here for close to 20 years because its where the job is. You cant wash your car in front of your house either. I got a citation for watering my yard on the wrong day. ( yes they actually pay people to drive around looking for stupid crap like this) I was going out of town on military orders for weeks. If I let it die, I would have been cited by the HOA for having a dead yard. Did I mention that I hate this place?

Wish I could make it through a day where the most difficult problem I face is some plastic bags....

    :)

HEB's brilliant formula is that they have no single formula.
Every store is custom tailored to the intended needs/desires of the intended shopper demographic.
Charging for re-usable bags is only done in those markets where the culture enables it to be seen favorably to most shoppers, though not all. In more conservative-area stores bags are free.
BTW I'll swallow my annoyance and pay for the bag because their produce is superlative and prices are lowest!

There are numerous reasons HEB kicks Butt. (pun intended)

I don't blame the bag ban on HEB, that's a local thing.

HEB is the one thing I miss from Austin. To get similar prices in DFW you have to go to Wal-Mart or Target. Target isn't all that bad but sometimes I'd like to just go to a regular grocery store but not pay a premium for the experience. Albertsons is ok, but a lot of them are rundown, so it's like Wal-Mart quality but still more expensive than Target.

Just grab some extra bags from the produce isle. Better yet goto a grocery store where they don't have the stupid bag ban. Deny them the tax revenue.

Local private company that returns billions of dollars and great products to Texans and employs many thousands. True for Whole Foods too to a lesser degree.
    I'm happy to support 'em. I don't like wall-mart

Yeah of course. I'm just saying goto an HEB in a non libtard county. I work in Travis county, but I spend no money there if I can help it.

Strange, the one on 620 near 2222, the one on 620 near Hatch, and the one on 183 three miles away appear identical, all with the same equally confusing floorplan. They also look identical to the new one on 290 in Houston near Fairfield.

If they are identical the confusion will remedy itself eventually.

My five....Wimberely, Dripping Springs, Spring Branch 46, San Antonio 281 and Austin 71 are all vastly dissimilar!!!

I'll assert that equally confusing is preferable to randomly confusing any day!!!!

Oh, well. I'm told that mental challenges stave off Alzheimer's, ergo, my win!

They don't have bags at Sam's club either. Can't even buy them. I believe that's everywhere, not just Austin.

but admit they have some good fajita meat.

If you're talking about the pre-seasoned in the sealed plastic, that's for damn sure ...
Even I don't find it necessary to add anything.
Cooked quickly, on a very hot fire, and close to the coals,
Hard to find any better, off the shelf.
