First the Miami Zombie Cannibal Incident, now other zombie cannibal reports from around the globe. Japan, and several US Cities have all report zombie like incidents within the past few days.

To add to this – now Mexico is reporting a version of the “Plague”

A case of human plague has been reported in New Mexico, by the New Mexico Department of Health. The Plague is mostly carried by fleas, from rats but is a also found in other rodents.

The plague is the highest biohazard level (4/4) and is very contagious. It is unknown from the reports if the New Mexico Department of Health was able to isolate the cause of this infection.

People infected with the plague, need treatment within 24 hours. Without treatment the death rate is 100%. With medical treatment the death rate is 50%.

A 78-year-old Torrance County, New Mexico man is the first human case of plague in New Mexico or the United States in 2012. Health officials report the yet unnamed man is currently hospitalized in stable condition. According to a New Mexico Department of Health press release Thursday, they confirmed the man as having the plague, or Yersinia pestis today. NM Department of Health Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Catherine Torres said, “The Department of Health takes action when a plague case occurs to ensure the safety of the immediate family, neighbors, and health care providers. We inform neighbors door-to-door about plague found in the area and educate them on reducing their risk. We determine whether individuals close to the patient may also have been exposed to the plague and recommend preventative treatment when necessary.” Plague is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium,Yersinia pestis. It is found in animals throughout the world, most commonly rats but other rodents like ground squirrels, prairie dogs, chipmunks, rabbits and voles.

Newsflash -- "Academy Sports and Outdoors has Zombie Medicine immediately available on the ammunition aisle by the gun bar. It is available in multiple handgun, rifle, and shotgun calibers. Although far more expensive than traditional Zombie slayers, reports from Mexico indicate this new munition is about 98% effective in close encounters. Other observations of Zombie events indicate that when the carcass of a slain Zombie is fully immolated with napalm, the Zombie has at best a 2% chance of resurrection. One observer noted: "These Zombie Hombre's are like Gonorrhea. If you don't kill them all on the first encounter, they develop a resistance to the medicine, and we have not yet developed a medicine strong enough to counter these new strains."
