Youth gun safety course in DFW area

Just purchased a 10/22 for my 10 year old grandson. Before he uses it, I want him to take a gun safety course and a gun introduction to firearms course taught by a certified instructor. Any recommendations? I live in Mesquite but would consider traveling to one of the area towns to get him a good course.

Any reason why you couldn't teach him? Might mean a little more (not to mention be less nerve racking for him) if he learns from Grandpa.

Normally, you'd be right. But I've raised him since birth. I've taught him to fish, shoot bb guns, and other things he needs to grow up right. But on this one, I feel it sorta like learning to drive. You always learn better from the expert, and he should get a certificate that may come in handy later on as we go to ranges or whatever.
