Mesquite gun show last weekend and no stainless.

Ohhok. I've been eyeing those, but I'm looking for the stainless version. I would post a link too it, but don't know if I can link to a site that's selling it. (if it's allowed I mean). I've heard really good things about it, I just want it in stainless instead of the blue finish.

Ok, got the range a week ago. Went through the extractor test. 50 rounds, they all extracted between 2 and 5 o'clock position. No stovepipes, no FTE. Almost all FTF but those were SWC lead reloads which the manual explicitly says to not use. :p My feedramp has some room to adjust and might be more reliable but I think I am going to order up some Ranier RN bullets to load and try. Doesn't seem to have any issues feeding Critical Defense rounds or Golden Sabres so far.

Very nice! I had my heart set on a Citadel myself but Academy had another brand I checked out for $50 less than the Citadel. It's a Metro Arms American Classic II in a .45. I walked up and down the aisles checking out the company and reviews of the pistol quality, and I heard nothing but good things! So I went with it and I could not be happier! No hating on Citadel, but I really think the American Classic is also a pretty badass starter 1911! I'll post a pic up soon.
