Yay, new 1911

Mesquite gun show last weekend and no stainless.

Ohhok. I've been eyeing those, but I'm looking for the stainless version. I would post a link too it, but don't know if I can link to a site that's selling it. (if it's allowed I mean). I've heard really good things about it, I just want it in stainless instead of the blue finish.

Ok, got the range a week ago. Went through the extractor test. 50 rounds, they all extracted between 2 and 5 o'clock position. No stovepipes, no FTE. Almost all FTF but those were SWC lead reloads which the manual explicitly says to not use. My feedramp has some room to adjust and might be more reliable but I think I am going to order up some Ranier RN bullets to load and try. Doesn't seem to have any issues feeding Critical Defense rounds or Golden Sabres so far.

Fed some whitebox RN rounds today with no issues. Accuracy is good at 7 yards that i fired at.

Very nice! I had my heart set on a Citadel myself but Academy had another brand I checked out for $50 less than the Citadel. It's a Metro Arms American Classic II in a .45. I walked up and down the aisles checking out the company and reviews of the pistol quality, and I heard nothing but good things! So I went with it and I could not be happier! No hating on Citadel, but I really think the American Classic is also a pretty badass starter 1911! I'll post a pic up soon.
