I see what you mean. 50 projectiles @ $174.Beautiful setup. Will he spring for the NightForce glass?
Not a sport for the budget conscious. One competitor I know told me he has a matched set of identical rifles in case one goes down while at a match. Then there is a considerable outlay for the reloading setup...lathe-turned solid copper projectiles. Also a Kestral and a Garmin.
Let us know how it shoots!

Those prisms are cool. Rifles without them used to (maybe still do; my knowledge is outdated) have amazingly high and sloped scope bases; the one pictured is obvious but nowhere near what can be obtained. I once planned a pistol build but it was the 200 MOA scope base that finally convinced me "Y'know, this is stupid. I'm not that dedicated to this."He is waiting on rings and a prism to add 50 moa. It looks like a scope cap. but I don't know how it works. I'll post again for sure.
My buddy who competes has it down to $15/ round and said he uses .50 cal military powder in bulk to cut cost a bit.I with you there. Very cool rifle and technology, but way out of my league. I should be getting a update soon. He had to get new reloading equipment for the 416 hellfire. That ain't no cheap sport for sure.
